Kindergarten Readiness Skills Booster
Strong preliminary skills are essential for a smooth transition into kindergarten, setting the foundation for a child’s academic and social success. Skills like letter and number recognition, fine motor development, and the ability to follow directions help young learners feel confident and ready to engage in the classroom. Without these foundational abilities, children may struggle to keep pace with their peers, leading to frustration, lower self-esteem, and potential learning gaps that can persist throughout their education. By ensuring children develop these skills early, we give them the best chance to thrive from the very start.
This kindergarten preparedness group will be taught by ELS educators Deborah Kelly and Debbie Hepner. Students will move their bodies, problem solve, and have loads of fun while strengthening their fundamental skills. Social emotional learning will be incorporated into all sessions, and accommodations will be provided as is appropriate.
The teacher student ratio will be kept at or below 5 to 1. If enrollment reaches six students, it will be team taught by both teachers.
Students must be potty trained.
