Yoga for the Developing Brain
The health of our bodies and brains affect our ability to function each day. A healthy body and brain makes it easier for us to sleep well, focus, control our impulses, modulate our moods, and so much more! Beginning to address brain health at a young age can also help stave off a variety of health issues later in life. (Individuals with ADHD and ASD have an elevated risk of developing neurological degeneration, such as Parkinson’s, Dementia, and Alzheimers later in life.)

These Yoga for the Developing Brain classes are designed to help young minds thrive! With tailored sessions for both kids and teens, we focus on fun, age-appropriate exercises that nurture brain development, improve focus, and reduce stress. Whether your child is a curious kid or a busy teenager, our yoga classes offer a supportive space to enhance their mental well-being.
Kids' Yoga (Ages 5-12)
Our kids' yoga sessions are all about playful movement, games, and simple breathing exercises that keep little ones engaged. We focus on:
Improving Focus & Attention: Interactive poses and activities that enhance concentration and boost brain function.
Reducing Stress & Anxiety: Calming exercises that help kids manage their emotions and build resilience.
Boosting Memory & Learning: Fun, rhythmic movements that stimulate cognitive growth and enhance memory retention.
Teens' Yoga (Ages 13-18)
For teens, our classes go deeper into mindfulness, stretching, and strengthening poses to meet the unique challenges of adolescence. We focus on:
Enhancing Mental Clarity: Breathwork and meditation techniques to help teens navigate stress, increase focus, and improve academic performance.
Supporting Emotional Health: Mindful practices that help regulate mood, reduce anxiety, and build self-confidence.
Improving Cognitive Flexibility: Complex poses that challenge balance and coordination, boosting brain function and adaptability.

The first class is scheduled for Sunday, 12/8 at 1:00 pm
Pricing: $35 per ticket ($30 when purchasing multiple dates at once)
Each elementary age ticket includes admission for one child and one parent.
Each teen/young adult ticket includes admission for one single individual.
The class session will be one hour in length with 15 minutes reserved at the end for discussion and Q&A.
The Yoga for the Developing Brain classes will be instructed by Jane Stelboum of Sarasvate. Jane is a Certified and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Educator (EYT) with Yoga Alliance and a Brain Longevity Specialist through the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation. Her speciality is in brain longevity and she loves teaching young children and adults habits that will serve their brain well through their lifetime! Elyse Dworin is the founder and CEO of Elevated Learning Solutions. She is an educator who is driven to help children learn to understand their bodies, brains, and the relationship between the two, to help them develop confidence and independence, and to help them realize their true potential.
